Also charcoal, or pastel, is a pigment and won’t bleed up through your paint the way graphite sometimes will. The transfer paper is good for dozens of transfers and is much faster and more convenient than the common way of using graphite to darken the lines on the backside of your drawing. The tracing paper is easily punctured – the canvas too – so support the canvas from below with a firm surface while making the transfer. Then put your newly minted transfer paper on your canvas, tape side up, charcoal side to the canvas, position your drawing and trace away. Bestine is very volatile and will dry immediately. It will have a streaky appearance due to some areas having a thicker coating than others but not to worry. Create new canvas and share the link to start drawing a picture together. Re-wet the tissue as needed and wipe the dust around until the paper is evenly covered, and most of the dust has adhered to the paper. Draw a picture together with your friends in real-time over the internet in your browser. With the Bestine-dampened tissue, rub the dust around on the paper. Bestine is a good solvent but absorbs into your bloodstream through the skin. Dampen a small wad of paper towel or tissue with Bestine (rubber cement thinner). Scrub the paper with charcoal or light colored pastel until it has a fairly even, light coating of charcoal or pastel dust. This makes the paper easier to handle and helps prevent tearing. You can use the personal whiteboard as a blank canvas to start sketching and drawing right away. Lay a strip of masking tape along each edge of the paper, forming a border around the perimeter of the paper. Boost your creativity with the whiteboard for drawing. It doesn’t have to be as large as your canvas obviously, because you can just move the transfer paper around under your drawing. Start with a sheet of tracing paper of appropriate size. You can make your own transfer paper in any color you like.
